PhysioNet promises to respect any personal information you give us and we will only use it in a way that you would expect. This notice explains how we intend to protect your privacy.
What information do we collect?
We only ask for information we need in order to maintain contact and keep you informed about PhysioNet’s work. Also to call upon supporters for help for example to make equipment collections and/or load containers.
How do we use this information?
We appreciate that you have provided us with your personal information. We will respect this trust and use the data responsibly.
How is this information shared?
We will not share or sell your data with any other charity or company.
How long do we keep your information?
Your personal information will be kept for no longer than necessary.
In certain circumstances we have a statutory obligation to keep your personal details for a set period of time (normally six to seven years). This mainly concerns financial information including that relating to, donations and Gift Aid.
How can you exercise your rights under GDPR?
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to ask for a copy of that information. You may also request that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected and ask, at any time, that the information we hold be deleted.
How do we respond to legal requests or prevent harm?
PhysioNet has a legal requirement to preserve and share your information with regulators and law enforcement agencies.
