Major milestone for Physionet
And we’re doing it in triplicate!
Saturday 12 September promises to be a very special day in PhysioNet’s 21-year history as we celebrate the departure of our 200th international shipment. And, remarkably, for the first time ever, we won’t be sending just one container overseas that day – we’re planning to send THREE!
🇲🇩 MOLDOVA — LOAD #9 of 200
Our milestone 200th shipment will leave our North Yorkshire depot bound for CRRC Moldova, packed with special needs, mobility and rehabilitation equipment.
We are especially delighted that Dr Ecaterina Gincota, Director of CRRC Moldova, will be travelling to North Yorkshire as our guest of honour for this historic loading. Ecaterina will be able to see first-hand the work of our volunteers, meet PhysioNet’s trustees and team, and help us celebrate this remarkable milestone.
🇫🇯 FIJI – LOAD #28 of 200
Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away at our South West depot, Harry Franks, Sarah Cowlan and their fantastic team of volunteers are planning to load another 40ft container for the Fiji Mobility Alliance – continuing a relationship that has helped transform lives across Fiji.

And, as if two containers weren’t enough, our South East depot will also be in action, where Ed Netsel and his amazing team are preparing another shipment of desperately needed equipment for Ukraine.
Three depots. Three countries. Three containers. One extraordinary day.
Reaching 200 international shipments is a milestone of which everyone connected with PhysioNet can be immensely proud – our volunteers, trustees, supporters, donors, healthcare partners and the countless organisations and individuals who have helped us along the way.
And there may even be a little friendly competition on 12 September…
